Commence Corporation Unveils Dynamic New Internet Forms Solution
Next Generation "e-Forms" Tool Offers Tight Integration with
Back-End Business Applications To Quickly Set Up Dynamic, Interactive Web Sites
Oakhurst, NJ (March 27, 2000) - Commence Corporation, a leading provider of
e-business solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses, today announced the pre-release of
Allure Forms, a new Web-based forms solution designed to dynamically capture
information from the Web and link it directly to back-end databases.
Allure Forms offers a suite of next-generation
business forms to easily capture input from the Web for sales orders, customer surveys, event
registration, and more. While other Web-based forms transfer information into an e-mail, Allure Forms
automatically directs input to an organization's database application, where it can be centrally
accessed to support business-critical operations.
"Despite enhancements in Internet technology,
organizations are finding it difficult to collect customer data from the Web and integrate it with
their internal business processes. Because first-generation Internet forms capture information from
e-mail, they typically require manual data handling - an inefficient, costly process that often
results in incorrect data entry," explained Larry Caretsky, President of Commence Corporation.
"By linking an organization's front-end Web site with its back-end applications, Allure Forms
offers a way to instantly create a dynamic, intuitive e-business environment. Users can leverage the
Web to easily capture and share important customer information across the organization - without
manual intervention."
Allure Forms streamlines the time and
cost of capturing data from the Web, using ODBC and OLE-DB interfaces to
automatically integrate information to an organization's database or other
legacy systems.
Allure Forms flexibly supports all
types of database fields, including text, numbers, dates, and times, as well as
HTML fields, such as checkbox, radio buttons, list-boxes, drop-down lists, and
large text fields. A data verification feature ensures that all information
entered is accurate and complete.
Allure Forms includes a set of
pre-built forms that can be easily customized with specific company information
such as logos, and posted to the Web for use. A wizard supports the fast,
efficient creation of additional forms. Using Microsoft® Word or any standard
HTML editor such as Microsoft® FrontPage®, organizations can create any type of
interactive form, and immediately place it on their Web site. No additional
programming or training is necessary.
Monthly Hosted Service
Allure Forms is offered as a hosted
service, enabling organizations to instantly utilize the solution without making
any up-front technology investment. The service is available for a low monthly
fee, plus a per page transaction charge, offering an affordable solution for
businesses of any size.
