Commence Corporation Launches Next-Generation Internet Forms Solution

Dynamic "e-Forms" Tool Targets E-Business Trend, Enabling Organizations to Link Back-End Applications with the Web to Offer Interactive Customer Support

Oakhurst, NJ (June 19, 2000) -  Commence Corporation, a leading provider of e-business solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses, today announced the general availability of AllureTM Forms, the company's dynamic, Web-based forms solution. Targeting the growing need for online customer interaction, Allure Forms allows organizations to instantly capture information from their Web site and link it directly to back-end databases - extending the functionality of traditional customer relationship management (CRM) and other database applications.

"The emergence of the Internet has rapidly changed the way business is conducted on a daily basis. To stay competitive, companies must Web-enable their back-end systems to offer truly dynamic, top quality customer support," explained Larry Caretsky, President of Commence Corporation. "Allure Forms enables organizations to seamlessly link their CRM, accounting, list server, and other database systems with their existing Web sites, making it easy for organizations to interact with their customers online - for less than the cost of a postage stamp or a phone call."

Allure Forms offers a suite of next-generation business forms to easily capture input from the Web for sales orders, customer surveys, event registration, and more. Allure Forms streamlines the time and cost of capturing data from the Web, using ODBC and OLE-DB interfaces to automatically integrate information with an organization's database or other legacy systems.

First-generation Internet forms simply capture information from e-mail, and typically require manual data handling - an inefficient, costly process that often results in incorrect data entry. Allure Forms intuitively links an organization's online forms with its internal business processes, enabling users to automatically capture and share important customer information across the organization - without manual intervention.

"Whether you have extensive technical expertise or none at all, Allure Forms is extremely easy-to-use - from initial set up to ongoing application," said Rick Honsberger, Development Manager at Software for Growth, a provider of CRM and sales force automation software solutions in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. "We were able to easily integrate Allure Forms with a variety of standard back-end systems, including Commence 2000, SQL server, and Microsoft Access, creating a seamless connection for online customer interaction."

"Allure Forms offers the perfect solution for businesses that want to quickly and easily set up a dynamic e-business environment. The system is highly intuitive, making it a snap to get up and running in a matter of minutes," added Michael D. Warner, President of Warner Technology, Inc., based in Medina, Ohio. The company's consulting services help small- to medium-sized businesses utilize technology to support strategic goals. "With Allure Forms, our clients can immediately start capturing information from the Web, and link it with their in-house databases to support business-critical operations."

Allure Forms includes a set of pre-built forms that can be easily customized with specific company information such as logos, and immediately posted to the Web for use. Customers simply enter the appropriate data and click "submit." A wizard supports the fast, efficient creation of additional forms. Using Microsoft Word or any standard HTML editor such as Microsoft FrontPage, organizations can create any type of interactive form, and immediately place it on their Web site. No additional programming or training is necessary.

Allure Forms flexibly supports all types of database fields, including text, numbers, dates, and times, as well as HTML fields, such as checkbox, radio buttons, list-boxes, drop-down lists, and large text fields. Customers simply enter the necessary input and click "submit." A data verification feature ensures that all information entered is accurate and complete.

Pricing & Availability

Allure Forms is available today as a transaction-based service. Pricing is based on the number of transactions, or the number of completed forms captured from the customer Web site. Transactions are priced at 30 cents each, billed monthly. A minimum monthly usage charge of $45 applies, which includes the first 150 transactions. The first month is free.
